DSP Media, a local entertainment agency, confirmed the death of Sojin, one of Baby KARA members, who had appeared in KARA Project, MBC’s variety program starring girl group KARA.

“We heard the sad news today, and feel so sorry. We should do something to help the family of the deceased,” the company’s official said on Wednesday.

When Sojin appeared in the show last year, she had said, “My motto is to live happily. All the pains and difficulties I went through are remembered as happy moments as time passed.”

She also added, “Once things pass, they no longer seem serious. So I try to enjoy my life even when I feel painful.”

Following the project, she was said to have returned to her home in Daejeon. She died in an apparent suicide after being found unconscious at an apartment in the city.
