South Korean actress Han Hye-jin, wife of A-list soccer player Ki Sung-yeung, is currently in Korea with her parents receiving prenatal care, away from her husband, her agency Namoo Actors announced Monday.

Han, who is expecting their first baby, will soon head to the U.K. to reunite with her husband, the agency said.

The couple made public on Sunday that Han is in the early stage of her pregnancy, but did not elaborate on the duration.

“Han is doing fine, mostly receiving prenatal education,” the agency said.

Regarding her future plans, the agency said, “Han would like to focus on raising her child, so she will not return to the entertainment scene for a while.”

The news went viral on Sunday after the 26-year-old captain of the South Korean men’s national football team was seen mimicking the thumb-sucking of a toddler after scoring at a 2014-2015 Premier League match against Manchester United.

The goal ceremony led netizens to speculate whether his wife was pregnant.

Han, eight years older than Ki, tied the knot with the Swansea City midfielder in July 2013.
