Hong’s agency, J Stars Entertainment said on Thursday that its exclusive contract with the actress had ended recently and that they had decided not to extend the contract.

With Hong having built up a strong career in China, she is reportedly being pursued by a number of large Chinese firms.

After starring as the female lead in a Chinese television series, she has shot numerous commercials and played the lead in a recent horror movie.
